The host city of this year’s week will be Antwerp, portal to the world and standing for trendy, creativity, global, pop-ups, fashion, art, events… and so much more! During this week, international groups of students will gain expertise in trending topics in the field of sustainable dietetics and food processing and production, also covering aspects of marketing and consumer’s behavior resulting in the setup of innovative initiatives and creating new start-ups. Lecturers from different countries will share their expertise and coach the students to be creative and successful.
Of course, on Monday we’ll start with introduction activities. Students will get to know each other, each other’s programmes and interests and there’s plenty of room for fun!
Learning will essentially take place by doing! We’ll visit sustainable initiatives within the vibrant city of Antwerp, will have lots of discussion and brainstorm sessions and workshops. In four days, student groups will prepare a business plan to present on the final day of the week. This day, a big international congress on sustainability and entrepreneurship within Nutrition and Dietetics will be organized, with expert speakers on these topics. During this day, the student groups pitch their plans and ask for feedback from experts. This conference is also open to professional dietitians and students who didn’t participate to the whole international week
Participation to the international week is free of charge. Your stay and drinks & food during the evening will be on your pay. This shouldn’t have to be too expensive: there are quite some hostels in Antwerp as well as campus canteens to eat for a reasonable price. Information will be provided with useful tips for travelling, nice restaurants, shops and touristic activities.
