HOW CAN I GET TO MY HOTEL WHEN I ARRIVE BY TRAIN?

 

Trams and buses: 

Buying a ticket on the tram is possible (3 €) but a 10 ride pass might be cheaper (14 € - multiple users) and is available in the stations and newspaper shops. 

 

!!!!! always check the correct directions when you take a tram 

 

e.g. 

Hotel Postiljon, National and Banks: Take tram 9 or 15 (direction Linkeroever) at Antwerpen premetrostation Diamant to Antwerpen premetrostation Groenplaats (3 stops) and walk more or less 300m

 

B&B Borze: Taketram 9 or 15( direction Linkeroever) at Antwerpen premetrostation Diamant to Antwerpen premetrostation Meir ( 2 stops) and walk 350m 

 

B&B Bed bad en brood: take bus 500 from busstop Antwerpen Quellin perron 1 to Antwerpen Kasteelplein (3 stops) and walK 240m

 

Walking: most hotels are less than 2 km from the railway station 


COMING TO... AND GOING BACK:

By train: 

  • From Brussels South Charleroi Airport to Antwerp:
    When you leave Brussels South Charleroi Airport, you can buy a single "any Belgian station" ticket from one of the two ticket machines available. This ticket includes the TEC bus journey (from the airport to Charleroi-South station) and the train journey (from that station to another Belgian station of your choice). Both ticket machines are outside the terminal near Door2. You can pay using cash or credit/debit card. (about 20 euro)

  • From Antwerp to Brussels south Charleroi Airport 
    It's easy to get to Brussels South Charleroi Airport from any Belgian station. Ask for a "code 814 or code 811 – single " ticket from your station ticket office.

    When you arrive at Charleroi-South station, you can just get a direct bus (bus A) and you will be at the airport terminal in 20 minutes. The ticket price includes the train and the bus transfer.

  • From Brussel National Airport (Zaventem) to Antwerp 
    The airport railway station is located below the terminal (basement level-1). You can buy a ticket to “Antwerpen Centraal” at the ticket machines or at the station ticket office (about 12 euro).

  • From Antwerp to Brussel National Airport (Zaventem) 
    At the station ticket office you buy a ticket to Brussel National Airport. The train arrived at the station bellow the airport terminal (about 12 euro).
